Exercise Therapy and Strength Training in River North, Chicago
Personalized Exercise Therapy
Exercise therapy and strength training are at the core of every plan of care at our River North clinic. The best part of practicing physical therapy in a one-on-one care delivery is being afforded the time to approach exercise prescription in a very personalized manner. Exercises are selected, modified, and progressed to be as targeted, individualized, and challenging as possible. Movement is coached to activate correct musculature, restore proper neuromuscular control and stability, and break patterns of reinjury.
What Exercise Therapy Looks Like Here
Every session is sixty uninterrupted minutes with the same physical therapist. After any hands-on work, you move into our 1,600 square foot open gym to load the range and control you just gained. Your therapist watches, coaches, and adjusts in real time, so every rep is doing what it should.
What It Helps With
- Returning to running, lifting, or sport after injury
- Rebuilding strength after surgery
- Recurring injuries that keep coming back
- Joint instability and hypermobility
- Back, neck, hip, knee, and shoulder pain
- Feeling weak, deconditioned, or unsure how to move safely
Your Home Exercise Program
Your home exercise program is one of the most important parts of your rehabilitation. It should feel effective, fit your schedule, and be updated regularly as you progress, never a handout you get once and forget.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this just a gym workout?
No. Every exercise is chosen based on your evaluation and progressed by a licensed physical therapist to target what's limiting you.
Do I need gym experience?
Not at all. We start where you are and coach every movement.
Do I need a referral?
No. Illinois is a direct access state, so you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral.
