Prehab and Post-Op Rehabilitation

Prehab and Post-Op Rehabilitation

Your doctor may prescribe physical therapy or ‘prehab’ to maintain and gain strength and range of motion prior to your operation. Surgeries that may require prehab are joint replacements, rotator cuff repair, and ACL reconstruction. Training the body before surgery can aid in a smooth transition to your rehabilitation post-operatively, where the focus of therapy will be on restoring strength, range of motion, and improving your ability to return to daily activities and exercise.
